Boxwood House provides weekly to monthly extended stays in a suite with shower bath, full kitchen, sitting room, and bedroom with a queen-sized bed.

The accommodations are decorated like a bed and breakfast, but omit the breakfast (and the stairs.)

The full kitchen is ideal for self-catering. It comes complete with gourmet appliances and cookware. A home office provides a desk and free wireless DSL. A data port and private telephone line provide complete communications. A free laundry is on site. The unit has a queen-sized bed and a convertible sofa. Housekeeping services are provided weekly. There is a private entrance with room for bicycles. On street parking is free and easy on our quiet tree-shaded street.

Boxwood House is just 35 minutes from San Francisco by convenient express bus service. Two BART stations in Oakland provide service throughout the Bay Area. Oakland, Berkeley and Emeryville are a quick freeway trip from Boxwood House. The Oakland airport is less than 20 minutes away. Even San Francisco airport is a BART ride away.

Recreational opportunities include bicycling, beach walks, kayaking around Alameda (we are on an island), and jogging on the beach.
